This month, to say healthy goodbye to 2017 and welcome in the new year, we make a stop in Bra in the province of Cuneo. We, in fact, went to visit Maria Vittoria and Piero, owners of Cugnolio Arreda, which we chose as Dorsal store of the month.
Can you tell us the history of your store?
We have been working in the furniture sector for over 30 years, but two and a half years ago we chose to focus our business on the bedding sector. We, therefore, moved to Via Pollenzo, a central and busy area in Bra, and here, we opened our new store of about 150 square meters all specialized in sleep. We are husband and wife and work side by side to advise our customers on how to rest better.
Have you known Dorsal for many years?
We have been cooperating with Dorsal for over 15 years. When we moved into this new showroom, we chose Dorsal as our main brand. In fact, in our new store, we display a bit of its entire range.
What do you think about Dorsal?
We are very comfortable with Dorsal. It is a serious, precise company. It is a brand that we appreciate for the high quality of its products and its attention to naturalness and human health. Moreover, we also got to know the company closely because we participated in all the training courses it offered by personally going to Veneto. Indeed ... we hope that new ones will be done soon because we find them very useful for our training and a valuable help in sales.
Why do you enjoy participating in Dorsal training courses?
We like to feel prepared, to know thoroughly all the products in the catalog, to be ready to answer our customers' questions, maybe even managing to solve some problem related to bad rest, posture, health of our customers. We believe that this is what sets us apart, and if customers come back to us it is because thanks to our preparation we really manage to help them rest better.
Is there any particular anecdote, perhaps of any customer who has been satisfied with a product or who has solved a problem related to their sleep or posture thanks to Dorsal?
Yes, we have had several examples . But the most recent one we like to tell you about. About a fortnight ago, a lady about 70 years old came back to our store being accompanied because she has difficulty walking. When she entered the store, she hugged us. We were surprised, but she told us that she came back to see us specifically to thank us for the advice. She was very pleased because she was finally able to sleep well. She also told us that if she had imagined that the quality of her sleep would have changed so much because of a Dorsal mattress, she would certainly have come to us first. This lady made us very proud, and credit is also due to Dorsal.
Do you remember what you had recommended to the lady?
Yes, I had recommended an elisir 3000 mattress and a Super bed base (with legs) to the lady with walking problems, and she, who could not get to sleep at night because of constant awakenings to change positions, actually improved her quality of sleep and thus her life. In general, our customers really appreciate elisir and zefiro. Now we would like to help more and more customers understand the importance of replacing not only the mattress but also the bed base (with legs).
What do you like about Dorsal as a company?
We like it because it is a precise company. Its products are qualified since in all of them there is a careful search for comfort, naturalness, and health. We feel very comfortable working with Dorsal, which is why we have chosen to deal almost exclusively with its products in our store. Also, as I was telling you, we really find the training courses useful, which really allow us to have a high specialization that helps us in sales.
With respect to the environmental certifications obtained by Dorsal, what do you think? Do customers appreciate this attention to the environment?
Customers are paying more and more attention not only to quality but also to the naturalness of products. Not only that, the fact that Dorsal works closely with physical therapists from A.I.Fi (Italian Physical Therapists Association) makes a difference. In fact, our clientele is mainly made up of mature people who are between 40 and 80 years old. So for them to have a product that has been studied, tested and recommended by physiotherapists is a really important warranty. We also like that Dorsal is generally attentive to human health, in fact our clientele often ask us for hypoallergenic, breathable, mite-resistant products.
What do you have in your window?
We are just redoing the windows and putting up the Dorsal bear, the new mascot. In fact, the promotion extended to Jan. 31 is also active in our store, which provides a 30 percent discount on the purchase of a Dorsal mattress base (with legs) with the purchase of a wooden or steel bed base.
Is there any particular service you offer to customers?
Free advice, particularly on bed bases (with legs). We also advise customers on how to replace standard bed bases (with legs) on container beds, including finding solutions for inserting powered bed bases.
We also make home deliveries, even over long distances.
What sets you apart from other stores?
Definitely specialization. Today, people come to our store very mconfused, often they have also done some research on the Internet, which has somewhat increased confusion. Our job is to accommodate their requests, listening to their needs and knowing the products thoroughly. With our experience and training, we can give highly specialized mconsultations to help them sleep better.
