This month, Dorsal went to discover the new Mattresses&Co in Orbassano (Turin). A completely renovated showroom with a 150 sq. m. test room dedicated only to mattresses, bed bases (with legs) and pillows that already from the location immediately makes its green philosophy clear. In fact, green was chosen precisely as the color of the store's exterior walls, but green is above all the heart of Alessandra, the store's owner, who has wholeheartedly embraced Dorsal's natural and eco-sustainable philosophy.
Can you tell us the history of your store?
My Mattress&Co and Salottidea stores are new because we opened to the public at this location on March 10, but they actually boast a long history starting in 1988. We have recently moved to have a larger location with a strong focus on eco-friendly and natural products.
What is this new store like?
It is spacious, with attention to detail, where the assortment of Dorsal products is really wide and well enhanced. The testing room is 150 square meters. We, in fact, have a motto that accompanies our work "Mattress is like a pair of shoes--it should be tried on!" In addition, our staff is very attentive to listen to our customers' needs.
Who is your staff made up of?
The Salottidea staff is made up of me (Alessandra) and Armando and Martino, my collaborators.how long have you known Dorsal?we have been collaborating with Dorsal for four years and share a concern for human health and the environment. It is no coincidence that the outside walls of the showroom have been painted precisely green, with the intention of making our customers perceive that here we deal with natural, certified and nature-friendly products, such as precisely those of Dorsal, the only ones in Italy to be designed and recommended by the physiotherapists of A.I.FI (Associazione Italiana Fisioterapisti).
Why did you specifically choose Dorsal?
With Dorsal we have the warranty that all products are natural, certified and of high quality. In addition, the cooperation with Dorsal is very good: we get along very well, even from the human point of view. It is like a big family, attentive to our requests and willing to meet us.
In the store, what Dorsal products do you keep?
We have a wide range of products, including new products.do you remember any customer who was particularly satisfied with the purchase of a Dorsal product and perhaps solved a sleep-related issue?yes, I remember one case in particular. One day we helped a gentleman who suffered from sleepwalking. We recommended a Dorsal bed System to him, and thanks to our advice, he was even able to solve his sleepwalking problem and sleep well during the night. Many, however, come to thank us satisfied with their Dorsal mattress, bed base (with legs) or pillow.
What happens when testing Dorsal mattresses?
customers feel the difference, if it is a memory mattress they feel it is snug or supported, and if it is a spring mattress they feel these work as they should, providing the right support and comfort for the back.
What did you think of the Dorsal Event held on May 12 and 13 and the latest products presented?
We are very happy to have participated, it was a very interesting two days. We had the opportunity to discover the new range of Dorsal mattresses in an exceptional location, to talk directly with the company and to get to know each other among us Dorsal dealers of Italy. For us these occasions are really important and make us feel the closeness and the strong collaboration with this company, with which we really fully share the natural and quality choices that have been made.
The Salottidea and Mattress & Co stores are located at 11 Circonvallazione Esterna Street in Orbassano (Turin) and are open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Visits by appointment are also possible outside store hours.
