This month Dorsal has arrived on the sea of the Marche region. We are in Porto d'Ascoli, a stone's throw from the best-known San Benedetto del Tronto, where the business adventure of Giuseppe and Anna, husband and wife, who opened Dormire Benessere here two years ago: a large, modern showroom of more than 200 sq. m. where you can try out bed bases and mattresses but also get careful, specialized advice.
Can you tell us the history of your store?
We have been open here in this space for two years, but we have known the bedding industry for many years. We wanted to open our business in this very large and modern space because there is nothing like it in our area. We are the only ones to offer such a well-stocked testing room with all high-quality products, primarily Dorsal products, to which more than half of our store is dedicated. We also wanted to hang an old Dorsal bed base (with legs) from 1977 in the store to show everyone that Dorsal is No. 1, the first to patent the bed base (with legs) in Italy.
Who is your staff made up of?
There is me (Joseph) and my wife Anna and we persolently follow each client, advising them for the best.
How did you come to choose Dorsal?
We chose two years ago to collaborate with Dorsal because we wanted to deal only high quality brands in our store, and Dorsal is the best company for bed bases (with legs) and mattresses. It is the only one in Italy that is recommended by the physical therapists of A.I.FI. (Italian Association of Physiotherapists). In addition, Dorsal provides so many warranties in terms of quality and certifications, including environmental and for people's health. Topics, the latter, to which people are paying more and more attention.
In the store, what Dorsal products do you keep?
We have a wide range of products, especially Zefiro and Issimo among the mattresses and almost all Dorsal bed bases (motorised slatted and non-motorized). We would also soon receive all mattresses from the new collection.
Do you remember any customers who were particularly satisfied with their purchase of a Dorsal product and perhaps solved a sleep-related issue?
There are several clients who return to thank us for the advice they received. I particularly remember a married couple who had been unable to rest well for many years. Especially the woman suffered from back pain and rib problems. We recommended that they purchase Dorsal's Issimo combined with a Human motorised slatted base (with legs) to better unload the weights during sleep. They called to thank us because finally, after years of suffering, they were able to sleep peacefully.
How do your customers feel about Dorsal's environmental certifications?
When we explain to them that the wood used to produce Dorsal bed bases (with legs) comes from controlled forests, they are very impressed. The fact that Dorsal uses natural materials and we are very
health-conscious is always an argument when selling. Also very reassuring to customers is the collaboration with A.I.FI.
When we show them that bed bases (with legs) and mattresses are designed and recommended by physical therapists who are experts in sleep physiology, they immediately understand that these are good, quality products. So we can say we have a good feedback on both environmental sustainability issues and those related to human health and well-being.
Do you hold special events in your showroom?
We would like to be able to host a FisioDorsal event because we would like to have the opportunity to host a physiotherapist in the store, so he can directly explain the qualities of Dorsal products. In addition, in about 10 days we will deliver together with Sambenedettese Calcio, which plays in Serie C and this year fought for promotion among the cadets, an original jersey autographed by the players and coach Palladini to the winner of the contest organized in collaboration with Radio Azzurra, the most followed radio station in our area. An event that ties our store to our favorite team the Sambenedettese, and that reinforces the idea that to be healthy it is necessary to exercise as well as to sleep the best.
Have you participated in the courses that are offered at Dorsal headquarters?
Yes, we have taken the Basic courses and have also already enrolled in the Advance courses because we feel they are important to learn more about the products and sales techniques and thus to be more prepared to recommend the best bed Systems to each person who comes into our showroom.
Do you offer any special services to customers?
We take great care to offer accurate pre-sales and after-sales service (even 24h on 24h). If requested, we personally go to homes to take measurements and assess which products to present and also solve special problems such as custom-made. Not only that... For elderly people, who may struggle to reach our store, we offer the service of bringing some mattresses directly to their homes, so they can try them in comfort and help them make the best purchase.
The Dormire Benessere store is located at 37 Via Piave, 37 in Porto D'Ascoli, Marche, and is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m.
