The advantages of manual adjustment
The manually adjusted bed base (with legs) differs from static bed bases in its ability to accommodate a sitting position for reading or watching TV without the use of uncomfortable cushions overlapping which interact negatively on cervical postural set-up and balance, potentially creating pain and muscle tension. Another advantage is the elevation of the legs with respect to the torso to promote a relaxation of the lower limbs with lymphatic drainage, very useful to those who suffer from vaso-lymphatic problems or who have special needs; recovering from trauma or surgery.
